The Reason: Ash's body looked wierd and I wanted to show more of Pikachu/Raichu's body. Also, I KNOW I can make the pic look better if I redraw it now. Oh, and by the way, this Raichi IS the Pikachu Ash has for all these years. To understand more, read the previous comment or click the link I gave just before.

I know people done this before; but I haven't seen people done it like this before.
What if Ash's Pikachu evolved in season 1. Maybe not after the defeat from Surge, but after the second battle when Pikachu proved you don't need to evolve to be strong and as they leave the gym, Pikachu suddenly evolve into Raichu(Okay, that makes no sense but neither did the fact Pikachu always wins back then no matter which opponent. Maybe he steps on the thunderstone Team Rocket dropped after stealing and THEN evolves).

As long as fans keep wathing the anime, it will continue to go on. However, if there was any moment which i am ready for that Pikachu to evolve, it's in/during whatever type of "Special Finale" will happen. Because i know that Pikachu doesn't want to evolve (Or does he?)
